From the Langhe district to the rest of the world
The true testimonial to this excellence of enterprise and leadership could only be the Batasiolo S.p.A. winery, with the concrete history of the Dogliani family behind it, and over fifty years of truly vertical experience, from the vineyard to the very bottle.
The pride and joy of this properly local company are its five Barolo Crus, produced in the vineyards of Cerequio, Bussia vigneto Bofani, Brunate, Briccolina and Boscareto, all property of Batasiolo. A company in continual evolution, driven by the dynamism of the family’s younger generations and the experience of its founder: from regenerating the vines on a rotating basis each passing year, to increasing the total hectares owned, expanding the production plant and cellars and replacing most of the large fermentation vessels. All including a vast area of three thousand square metres dedicated to facilities for grape-drying and bottle conditioning according to the Classic Millesimato Method.
This expansion was made possible thanks to a project by INC S.p.A., another FININC GROUP company, aimed at enhancing production quality and quantity, confirming the Dogliani family’s approach to enterprise and ensuring the future of this company in continual growth.
An age-old craft animated by a futuristic vision, and producing excellent wines
Precision agriculture, and oenology
The highest expression of modernity, that embraces the past and enhances tradition using the most advanced tools the present makes available: from arrival of the grapes in the cellar to when the bottles are shipped out, the Batasiolo team works with innovative, state-of-the-art technology.
A fine example of this approach is the barrel cellar, which adopts an advanced climate control system designed by INC S.p.A., to assure constant yield of the wine during its passage in barrique, perfectly conserving the barrels and limiting the natural absorption of the precious content by the wood.
Wine-making is both tradition and innovation: making a great wine today not only demands absolute respect for the past, but above all experience, research and latest generation technology.
Tradition, strategy and innovation in the vineyard
Innovation begins in the vineyards themselves, applying a cultivation system that uses a network of sensors capable of analysing climatic conditions and indicating the risk of plant diseases, so vine treatments can be reduced to the minimum and targeted, especially over the months prior to harvest.
As tradition demands, the grape harvest is always entrusted to capable hands and grapes selected directly in the cellar by same trusted team that always follows and cares for the wines of Batasiolo S.p.A.
Overseas ambassadors of Italian wine
Almost 50 percent of the entire turnover is generated on foreign markets, confirming the naturally cosmopolitan vocation of the companies belonging to the FININC GROUP.
In keeping with this strategy, the Batasiolo S.p.A. brand has become a benchmark at home and an ambassador of Italian wines in the world.
